Can anyone help with keycap replacements for an apple IIc?

Hi I am hoping someone can help me out. I have an apple IIc keyboard I want to repair. See the photo, its missing some keys and all the spacebar hardware. I need the Z, M,<, ?/,[Right arrow key], and closed apple key. Thats 6 keycapsYou might notice the left arrow is all askew, the switch is badly broken so I need one switch that looks like the switch I sent in the other photo.I also need the spacebar, the two alignment tabs under the spacebar, the metal stabilizer bar for the spacebar.Id love to buy from just one buyer if they can cut me a good price.

Apple IIgs ROM 03 system bad error

I have two ROM 03 Apple IIgs systems that give intermittent errors "SYSTEM BAD 06010000" From what I looked up it seems to be an issue with the built in SERIAL IC on the main board. Is that correct or is the issue something else? My concerns are system stability. IF I disable the modem port in the control panel and add a super serial card will the system work as intended sans the on-board serial components? Would that create a functioning machine? Two ROM 03 machines thrown away would be a huge waste, I am trying to get some use out of them.

Places to buy New Hardware for Apple IIs

Hey Folks,

As my background is mostly with Commodore gear, I'm used to buying from a range of resellers of interesting tech for the C= range. Virtual FDDs (A variety are now available), FPGA video chip upgrades, replacement components for parts that are no longer commonly available, new cartridges. That kind of thing.

I assume similar shops exist for Apple. I've found "Big Mess of Wires", but haven't seen much beyond that.

What else is there out there? Who's selling interesting bits and pieces?

Auto-running a program from a floppy

My programming/use of the Apple II is getting rather rusty....

I'm in the process of eliminating some hardware issues (color missing) on my II+ motherboard and have copied (from some listing I found) and saved a small color bar type test program. Since my keyboard is disconnected when working on the computer it would be great to have it run automatically when a disk with it on would boot.

The program is in Applesoft basic, I've saved it on a DOS 3.3 disk (5.25") and my II+ has an autoboot ROM.

Cirtech Apple Iic CPM Module

Colleagues

Greetings from Dublin, Ireland.

Does anyone have experience using this add-on to an Apple IIc (it is one of the few add-on boards).  I am using it on the 'basic' IIc not the IIc plus.  It came with a computer I bought on eBay.  When I opened it to clean the internal drive I found the Cirtech card and with a little bit of research determined what is .

disk ii card and other questions

Hi everyone,

(Introduction - problem starts after 2nd paragraph if you would like to skip this)

I am new here and am working on repairing/restoring an old apple ii plus that was gifted to me as a kid for something to play with that didn't work. Amazingly, my childhood self managed to not break anything more or touch the ICs. I was in school for computer engineering, but have been away for a few years due to health problems. So while I have a break for a few weeks from doctors while they come up with a new plan, I decided to keep busy as much as I am able to.

I found this in my grandfathers closet

As the title says, found this while searching through some of my old grandfathers things. I don't know much about them myself though.

Troubleshooting a DuoDisk unit

I'm working through a problem with the second drive in my DuoDisk unit.  Specifically, it spins up, but the head doesn't read the disk.

This leads me to suspect two possible culprits:  the read head or the stepper motor.

Is there any troubleshooting tips?  Any way I can rule out the stepper motor at least?I take it back.  I didn't realize it, but the characteristic chatter when a disk drive starts is the stepper motor.  So presumably it's fine.  That leaves the read head...

The separate key contacts are OK and the connection Y1 from the keyboard to pin 18 on the keyboard controller 341-0035 is OK. All other keys are OK.
