Apple II

Apple II CPM question...

So I got an Apple II plus with a CPM card and a thunderclock card (I understand needed to I don't have to enter the date and time when I start CPM)

The question I have is... If I already own an Altair and a Sol-20 which both can run CPM if I want to, what can I do with an Apple II CPM Card that I can't do with them? I'm trying to decide if I should keep both the CPM and Thunderclock cards.

Thanks,
Corey

So the $5,000 Rev 0 Apple II in poor condition was a bad auction...

I emailed the seller of one that's on eBay right now that reminded me of of an earlier auction I was watching. I said to myself wow it seems a lot of surviving Rev 0 Apple II systems are missing the raised power key and have a replacement power supply so I decided to do a search for the one that sold a few weeks back for 5k. Well same pics, same serial number and everything...

Well the seller told me this...

"Yes this is the same system. Unfortunately the previous buyer did not pay for this Apple II. "

Apple ][+ Making Weird noises...

So, I have this Apple ][+ that I picked up a few years ago that had been sitting in a basement for some 25 years. It worked perfectly, but I eventually just left it on my shelf. I haven't used it in about 7-8 months, so I decided to fool around with it a couple of days ago. However, when I tried to turn it on, nothing appeared on the screen and the computer made this strange repeated beeping noise. I'm not quite sure where it's coming from, but it certainly does not sound like the speaker.

Just got a CFFA3000 card, wow this thing is cool....

So I managed to get a CFFA3000 card from someone. Should be labeled CFFA-USB-3000. At first when it came, the person included a CF card (I forgot how big they were) and I realized I don't have a CF card reader/writer for my Mac. Then I started reading the manual. I could use a USB key!!!! A couple of hours later copying down the Azimov image archive over FTP (26+gb, ok I grabbed the whole thing I can clean it up later), I was in business.

which ][ do you prefer?

Hey Folks

just curious, i own a //c non-rom 4 computer. I want to know which out of the entire ][ is most desired and why? For me, the only thing i dont like about the //c is upgradeablity (no cards) but aside from that i would like read what most users percieve as the most used and most desired ][ series to acquire. thanks.

Super Serial Card Issue w/ADTPro SpeediBoot

So, if I try to do a Speediboot from ADTPro, I do the IN#2, then the ctrl-a, and don't get a SSC> prompt. It also won't speediboot. I can load the ADTPro from a floppy, and transfer files, so it isn't a big issue, but wondering what is going on. This is on my new (to me) apple //e platinum. I've tried 2 super serial cards, in several slots, same thing. Thanks.

RamWorks III RGB DaughterBoard

Anyone on here have an image of the software disk that came with the RGB daughterboard option for the RamWorks III. I got the RGB card on ebay, and I am pretty sure it is the analog, not the one with analog and digital on the same board. I have searched, but no luck on a disk image with the software. Also, I found a manual for the digital/analog board, but not the original analog. Anyone have a scan of one? I can put these on my FTP server for all to enjoy. Thanks.
