Apple II and 8-inch disk support

I've a ZVX4 interface card for the Apple II. This was produced in San Diego, California by Silicon Valley Associates. It allows the Apple II to interface with an 8-inch floppy disk drive such as those made by Shugart.

Along with this card I have some 8-inch floppy disks that make use of a special version of DOS 3.3. Apparently, the DOS 3.3 on these disks has been patched to support the 2.2MB capacity of the 8-inch disks.

Apple IIc and CP/M - how do I accomplish this?

I recently got rid of my Apple IIe Platinum in order to make more room. I now have only my trusty Apple IIc. I had a Z80 card for the IIe that allowed me to run CP/M 2.23 and above. I'd like to do the same for Apple IIc, but there are no expansion slots. I heard there is a way to run CP/M on the Apple IIc that involves some sort of additional hardware, but I've not read this since 1999 and since don't have the luck of finding the info again.

If someone can explain the procedure to me, I'd be happy. Thanks.

New IIgs

I just got ahold of a real gem.
I found the following system with ALL original boxes, manuals, disks, etc...

Apple IIgs ROM03
Apple RAM expansion board
2x Apple 3.5" floppy
1x Apple 5.25" floppy
Apple color monitor for the IIgs

The system is CLEAN! No yellowing.. just needed a little clean up. The guy had it stored in the boxes in his garage for years. I can't wait to add a hard disk, accelerator, and SCSI card. Smile

Apple IIc/IIc+ Color

Can anybody confirm that the IIc and IIc+ are different colors?

There were three colors in use at Apple at the time. I think 4, really, but for the sake of clarity we'll say three: beige, "Fog" and platinum. "Fog" was used on the IIc, ImageWriter II and LaserWriter. Beige was used on the the earlier Apple II line and the early Macs. The IIgs was the first to use the platinum color and the Plus, the IIe and the IIc had different colors prior to the IIgs.

APPLE II CARD What is this card?

I found this on eBay, and I have the very same card. It came out of a computer from a school. There is no label or identifying marks on it. What does it do?

AppleFritter.com site

Why is AppleFritter.com accessible from my desktop PC at work but not at home? This does not make a wit of sense. I am using the site from my work desktop PC over a VPN right now.

All other internet sites work from my home PC, just not this one.
