Apple II

FujiNet

I did a search here and can find nothing on FujiNet.  It looks like an excellent resource for multiple retro, including Apple II, platforms, and seems to does it all, from Smartport and floppy EMU-type support, Internet access, printing emulation and printing support, CP/M emulation, etc, with ongoing development and a relative minimal investment.  Anyone familiar with FujiNet?

IBS AP53 - Floppy Disk Controller - PCB marked as AP41 - why ?

Gents,

just a question regarding a floppy controller from IBS sold as AP53.

Does anyone know the history behind while the raw pcb is marked as AP41 ?

Sup'r terminal 80col restomod : power resistor ?

Hey everyone

Sorry for the slightly obscure question — I’m working on restoring an Apple II "Sup'r Terminal" 80-column card.

By "restoring," I mean I've noticed that the board has several ICs that are known to fail over time, so I'm adding sockets for each chip to make future repairs easier — even decades from now.

Wrong power supply

I went to boot a spare IIgs and found that the aluminum power supply had stopped working. I was getting 3v out of 2 connections and less than 1 volt out of the other 2. I opened it up and was surprised to find a wrong power supply inside. A Tiger PS and except for 1 screw it was siliconed in. Probably came out of a II+ clone. Since the original PS is gone I guess I’ll put in a better replacement. I’ll likely use a Rel-70-4004 I have on hand. It’s a medical PS that puts out all the right voltages.

'IWMless' - IWM substitution beta test launched !

Hi Fans -

today is the "official" launch day for the 'IWMless' beta test phase.

More info in post #25 of this thread:

https://www.applefritter.com/content/announcing-iwmless-iwm-substitution-call-beta-testers

Please note that all available beta test units have been already reserved for those volunteers who spoke up in that "call for beta testers", but if any of them drops out, you still may have a chance to get one.

Apple IIe EF and CD ROM specs?

I've got a dead Apple IIe with suspect EF and and CD ROM's

342-0134

342-0135

I read somewhere that these can be replaced with 27C64 ROM's.  Are they 27C64 ROM's which can be read with the programmer to confirm if they are valid?

I've tried  reading them as M27C64 ROMs but pin 1 on both fails and if I ignore that it returns 0xFF for all addresses.

So first off what chips are these and can they be read with a moderm programmer, and can they be replaced with a 27C64?

Looking for an Apple II FujiNet

Hello,

I attempted to build the FujiNet matching the PCB on fujinet-hardware/AppleII/FujiApple-DevKit-Combo-Rev1 at master · FujiNetWIFI/fujinet-hardware · GitHub

Unfortunately despite testing all components, I have a hardware issue so it doesn't work.

Since I already have the flashed ESP32 module, I'm looking to purchase a functional FujiNet module in which I could just plug in my ESP32. A complete kit is possible as an alternative.
