Wanted to buy: tested Applied Engineering GS-RAM Plus with 6MB RAM
As per the subject, I’m looking for an Applied Engineering GS‑RAM Plus memory expansion, preferably already populated with 6MB of RAM. Regards.

I am assuming you have a

I am assuming you have a specific need for that exact memory board?  Maybe for nostalgua reasons?  Or some add-on that depends on that board?

If not there are lots of other options that are essentially equivalent, including modern ones that use far less power and generate less heat and are even likely to be less expensive.  The ones from platces like Garrett's Workshop for example.

AE was one of the best back in the day, and I imagine they are more "collectible", although frankly none of the later Apple II gear is particularly valuable and not likely to ever be so.  If you are looking for something to actually use, consider something modern or maybe even something like the Apple Squeezer which offers accelleration, 14MB RAM and HDMI output in one relatively inexpensive package.  One of those plus some decent flash based storage and a stereo output card makes pretty nearly a dream IIgs system.  Most of us would have killed for something like that back in the day.

I'm using a GW4201d connected
I'm using a GW4201d connected to the rear connector of the RamKeeper, but now I'd like to install a second expansion board on the front connector to get 6MB of RAM. This is because the GarrettWorkshop card is currently configured as a 6.5MB ROM Disk, so GS/OS 6.0.4 only detects 1152KB of RAM. I don't have a specific need for those 6MB of RAM; it's simply because I'd like to configure the most powerful IIgs ROM 03 system possible. I could look for a second GW4201d, but the problem is that it requires the SlotMover, which is extremely hard to find. The GS‑RAM Plus, on the other hand, can be connected directly to the front connector without the SlotMover. If you configure the GW4201d installed in the back connector of the RamKeeper, GS/OS treats it as absent and the system only sees the RAM installed on the computer’s motherboard.

address space limit

The IIgs can only address 8 MiB of RAM (128 banks); but I don't know the details of the RAMKeeper implementation as to whether its "ROM Disk" occupies that space, or not. If it does occupy the RAM address space, then there is simply no way to have more than 8 MiB of memory used for ROM Disk plus RAM.

If the RAMKeeper is able to read and write to its memory slot without mapping that memory into the 65C816's address space, it could potentially provide an 8 MiB ROM Disk and still have 8 MiB of RAM for GS/OS.

Further to that point, the Æ

Further to that point, the Æ RAM Keeper manual claims to support 16 MB in its introduction, but only describes supported configurations of 4 MB on one card plus 4 MB on the second card (memory expansion cards for the IIgs can only have 4 MB if they use the onboard RAM decode, refresh, and DMA). It's not entirely clear what is supposed to happen with two 8 MB cards.

The firmware screen that shows memory allocation to RAM or ROM Disk only has 128 banks on it, which is 8 MB.
