Some of you may have caught this on the Apple Facebook sites but for those who have not, the Apple ][ Registry has been reborn with the permission of the original owner. The site is now hosted here: VintageAppleComputers.info
From there you can now register your Apple II, II plus, IIc Plus, IIGS and IIe -
- Keep track of all the Apples out there, see your manufacturing date and location and more.
- LISA registrion page is coming soon
- Please feel free to provide feedback and comments
Hi,
just wondering why there is no registry for the standard //c?
Cheers,
Mike
Originally my thinking was that there were way too many IIC's produced and this was intended for limited run machines - it's since grown. I'll add it shortly.
Posting your name/location on the Internet when you own a Rev.0 is just not smart in my opinion. I have seen them sell for 6, 7, even 10 grand. I have also seen people being robbed, even killed for a lot less.
Yeah, all those vintage computer gangsters out there. LOL
It would be naive to think that someone in this line of "work" would care about anything other than the dollar value.
Well thankfully the registry has been around for some time now and not many new REV 0 machines come around everyday - that said, the existing registry listed them and they were copied over - so not likely to see many of those added anyway :)
