Good price for a beige G3/266 with 128MB RAM & 4.x GB HD

What is a reasonable price for a beige G3 desktop with the following spec's:

G3/266MHz
128MB RAM
4.X GB Hard Drive
CD ROM 12x
No keyboard, mouse, or monitor.

Reason I ask: There's somebody selling one locally for $195. Personally, I think that price is a bit high. What is fair market value for such a machine?

p.s. Anybody that gives a price greater than $195 is a nutbar and should not even bother responding. I'm serious! What is fair market value for such a machine?

Thanx

People have been selling beig

People have been selling beige G3s with 266mhz processors, 128mb ram, cd drive, 6gb hd, AV out, zip drive, and keyboard+mouse with a buy it now of $25. Nearly 200 bucks is a truely delusional amount of money.

Hmm...

Like what has already been said, beige G3s can be had for quite a small amount of money these days. Just as a side note, B&W G3 prices are quite low as well, usually around $100 for low end ones. Despite the release of the Mac Mini, I haven't seen AGP G4's prices go down very much.

That's exactly what I figured...

I just recently picked up a 9500/150 with a beige G3/233 for a package price of $50. That was with keyboards and mice, 64MB RAM/machine, and 2GB hard drive.

I'm trying to talk the guy down in price but he seems unwilling to negotiate. He cites similar prices at a retailer that is a four hour drive away, but that particular retailer offers a better configuration, a warranty, and OS CD's with their G3's. I dunno, some things just aren't meant to make sense. Ah well...

But yeah, I completely agree with you, $100 tops for a beige G3 with an essentially stock configuration.

Thanks.

As mentioned there are beigie

As mentioned there are beigies on Epay for $25.00. Add a keyboard and mouse for $10.00 and you have a $35.00 Mac on it's best day.

The 218MB RAM stick is worth about $10.00 so now it's worth $45.00 at best. Personally I would not pay more than $25.00 for a beige G3 unless it's full of RAM and I'd go a little higher.
