sounds like they guy is neither confirming or denying...though his email reply to me shows he is well versed in vintage computers...i would believe he would have looked further. When i asked for a picture of the inside...he stated that it was already packed..sounds fishy

I don't believe it is an appl

I don't believe it is an apple 1 and I feel sorry for anybody who bids on this item. The case would need to be much larger, Larry Nelson has pictures with his next to measuring tape. Can you refresh me on the location of that pic Larry?

Huh?

Hey,

The title of the auction is:

Apple IIe with a hobbyist wood computer? I am not sure?

Nowhere does it say it's an Apple I. Did I miss something?

IF you read the question answ

IF you read the question answer session...he is leading people in that direction by posting only the emails he has gotten with that kind of info. When you couple that with the fact that he will not take pictures or give any other information because it is packed....it is misleading. He also has quite a history of selling vintage computers and can;t be that dumb....

apple iie's are near worthles

apple iie's are near worthless on ebay...with a monitor 3...$50 bucks is at best. It is over 200 bucks at this point....because of the wooden computer....some people consider it like buying a lottery ticket...a losing one in this case.

The auction text says it is f

The auction text says it is for what is on the table, the IIe and the wooden computer. You are right in that he doesn't say it's an Apple I, but I'd be very quick to find out if it was my auction. If it is, he's got a goldmine, if not, he's got a mildly interesting collectable.

Apple-1 Picture

Here is the Apple-1 site I've had for several years. I haven't updated for quite a while now, but the pictures are still there.

As for the auction, the seller sure isn't saying this is an Apple-1, and the fact that he won't show pictures of the inside of the case sounds like it isn't one and he knows it isn't. It could be as simple as an ASCII keyboard, or a keyboard for a TRS-80 or some other early computer. There's not enough info for me to make a decision on it.
And I'm sure not going to buyit to find out.
