Okay let's say i have a wireless network with a wrt54gs in the main part of my house, i have a bunch of computers in my barn and i want network access on those, but i dont want to wire the connection out to my barn, what do i need to connect my hub that's networking the barn computers to my wireless network?

Linksys and a few others make a wireless->ethernet bridge. Basically a backward access point. You can set these up so you can hook them up to a hub/switch.
Yep, you can also enable IP forwarding on your mac in /etc/services and do the same thing (but without DHCP service)
