Let me put it this way

After quitting that job, I feel like 20 years has been added to my life. Every person I've seen in the past few days has said that I looked "great!".

Nooooo! I did not mean that D

Nooooo! I did not mean that Dr. Bob was an idiot, I said idiotS, meaning the people at Apple who made him remove the hacks off AF. I am sick and tired of these a---holes who go for everyone from Snaggy (for using the work "Mac") and all that crap.

I am the furthest thing from an Apple zealot and know that all workplaces can be hell. While I like Macs, Apple as a company sucks. Bad.

I apologize to anyone who took offence at this. Dr. Bob is not an idiot.

Thanks

Thanks, that is sick! Is there anywhere where we can see these other videos? Also, when will these "forbidden hacks" be put back up? And why did apple make you take them down?

O.k., no secret project discussion, what about rumors?

Dear Doctor Bob,

My cat thinks that he is really a canary. . . oh, I guess this isn't the online advice to confused pet owners site.

I understand the reasons why you won't talk about things that you've worked on with confidential agreements in place, that's fine. But you used to have a ban against conversations speculating about what was going on next with apple. Is that still the case here? Or was that Tom O., or both of you?

I'm guessing the the hard lin

I'm guessing the the hard line policy on AF forbidding talk of rumors and such was quite closely related to your job status at Apple? I know there could have been some very serious legal ramifications if something you were privy to about Apple got leaked here, by someone else, and you would have been the obvious initial target of legal action. I also can't think of a time where it was mentioned exactly where you worked. All I rememebr from previous threads is that it is a large lab, with a good amount of security and toys. :macos: And somehow that smiley feels a bit more apropriate now.

As for adding 20 years, the addage goes "Freedom isn't free." NDAs suck, but they have their purposes. It's too bad that nice 2500 sq. ft. homes aren't free either...

Native Northwesterners

This thread is getting pretty old, but I immediately thought of this postcard when this thread started. I've been moving and finally found the card. As someone who grew up in Idaho and still spends time every summer in Oregon, I can say with certainty that this is what native Oregonians and Idahoans think of the flood of Californians migrating to our pristine states Wink
