More information?

• What type of Mac are you wanting to install this particular card into?

• Which card are you trying to install? (manufacturer, model, function)

Sorry, adoreapple, but you didn't leave us much to go on this time.

Is this a modem? What's the model number on the card?

PCMCIA is the slot that the card uses. Just saying PCMCIA tells one nothing of what the card does or what variation of PC Card slot it works in. Heck, PCMCIA doesn't (really) say if it is a 16-bit or 32-bit, or 3.3v or 5v card, and also doesn't tell the size, ie. Type I, II or III. Wink

Modem Card?

BASED ON THIS...

I guess he's looking for a modem card. I guess. Possibly. Wouldn't bet on it.

As for the US Robotics card he *does* have (I'm guessing, hard to tell), likely the reason it doesn't work is it's a "Winmodem". Like most sleezy useless garbage modem companies (no, I'm not bitter or anything) US Robotics made both "real" modems and "winmodems", and telling them apart can almost be impossible, *particularly* if you're not literate enough to read the model number printed on the card and Google it.

If it *is* a hardware modem USR still has .sit/.hqx files with modem scripts, etc. to make it go on their website.
