8 Meg RamWorks II?

Has anyone ever heard of, or tried placing 8 Meg worth of RAM on a RamWorks II Card?

This Guy on eBay says that it is possible to place anywhere up to 16 Meg on one and he has an 8 Meg RamWorks II for sale:

Personally; the highest I have ever seen was a 3 Meg, but that was with the 2 Meg Daughter Card.

Is he blowin' smoke?

That card has 1mb RAM on it. It takes 8 of those 81256 chips to make 256k so that's 4 256k banks or 1mb

Re: 8 Meg RamWorks II?

Wayne,

That's what I thought.
I have several Ramworks II cards sitting in storage and I knew that they could only be 1 Meg. You have to have the 2 Meg Daughter Board (I happen to have one) to make a 3 Meg Card. I have never heard of anyone placing 256K chips in one of these.

Well...The seller has changed his Title and Description as of this morning. It no longer says 8 Meg. Maybe he finally did some research.
