Does anyone know what this is?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/141796957622

Neither the motherboard nor the PSU look like genuine Apple products to me. I suspect that this is a clone that has somehow found its way into a genuine Europlus case.

Also, he is selling a floppy drive, but there is no disk interface card.

Any thoughts?

The guy seems to be selling three ITT 2020 pre-production units based on the Apple II design. ITT produced an Apple licensed Apple II clone in Europe and developed a modified but compatible PAL-mainboard with higher resolution (320x192) later on. The early ITT 2020 computers were pretty much just Apple II with 50hz mod. The later mainboard was a complete redesign and even used a modified Applesoft Rom (PALSOFT) as well as an additional 2k ram that was used for the higher resolution (not directly addressable though).

The A2 clones that are offered here may have some interesting ROMs ... i will ask the guy later this WE.

WOW!! The Motherboard has the RAM Blocks, but No Solder Mask or SilkScreen, ( the Green Color and White Lettering ). So these are Prototype Boards...

i would guess, Very rare!!!

It gets all the more curious.

He has two other computers for sale. All of them seem to have the same ITT motherboard.

One is an ITT branded 2020: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141796967933

and the other has no branding at all: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141796941180

Looks Like the same Keyboard used on the Bell & Howell ][+...

I would think this system is much more valuable Whole....

They look like Bell & Howell Keyboards in an Apple ][ Euro+ case, a Apple ][+ Case with alternate Badging, and a totally different Case.

With the ITT 2020 markings they are most likely Prototypes with Prototype Motherboards, with the lack of Solder Mask and Silk Screen, with the Light Green Slots of the early Apple ][s.

Unless someone was Kitbashing, these are most very likely some ITT 2020 Prototypes.. I doubt it with the Prototype Motherboard... They are too nicely made.. Too Professional Looking..
