Another Noob Question - Making disks?

Hello,

I looked before I posted this, but I didn't find the answer. I suspect it's a duplicate question, sorry.

I'm using Virtual ][, and I want to "format a disk" so I can store my code on it.

How do I make new, blank, .dsk files?

Thank you,
Char-Lez

If you click on "Media" - there opens a drop down menu - then on "Create Blank Diskette".

Or you copy a disk image in the Filer or Explorer - start in Virtual II a DOS3.3 Master and "INIT" the disk, or use FID (from DOS3.3 Master Disk) or format it with a program like System Utilities or Copy II Plus.

Thank you!

I feel a bit dense, but I do appreciate the patient answer.

OK,

Well, this one might be on the edge of wrong but here goes.

I boot Virtual 2.
I created a new blank disk per instructions
I went to init the bad boy but I keep getting "I/O ERROR"

Not sure what to do about that.

Any ideas?

WAIT! I figured it out. I wasn't booting to DOS 3.3 properly.
