Removing the AMP power connector from the power supply wires

Is there an easy way or a special tool like they have molex
Pins to remove the wires from the AMP power connector on an Apple II supply? I have to transplant the connector from one supply to another and don’t want to break anything.

Thanks,
Corey

A II AMP power connector

 Hi Corey,

I've tried to remove the AMP connector after the dog chewed it.  I suspect that there is a clip on each metal end that holds the ends in the connector.  I had no luck in removing the plug.

If it is any help, the actual plug is:

Digi-Key part no. A14113-ND.     See here :

Hope that Helps,

Corey, search eBay for "Amp

Corey, search eBay for "Amp Extraction Tool".

You will see all types and sizes.  It's a simple plunger-like tool but at the moment I can't tell you the pin size.

Somewhere between $15 to $30 pending what you get.

Good luck in your search.

I bought this recently for a Willegal Apple II build. The contacts are not included which are these:

Of course, since I bought both the socket and the connector I don't know if they match the original 100%, but they seem to work for my build.

(If you want to extract the original contacts the barbs are shown in the picture.)
