So, Recently I got an Powermac G5 2GHz model. This Powermac has two sata hard drive cables. I have no apple keyboard/mouse. I have an official version of Mac os 10.4 tiger. I plugged in a sata ssd into one of the cables, had an external dvd drive attached since I can't eject the internal one. It powwered on, however, it kept showing me the flashing folder with question mark sign. I don't know if this is because my ssd has stuff in it, or I'm using a external dvd drive. I don't know how to eject the internal dvd drive with an windows keyboard. And It seems like there'a delay between the time the apple chime and the attached keyboard getting power/data input. Can someone help with this? Thanks

Okay I managed to get into the Mac os 10.4 installer, however, every time it nears completion, it crashes and boots into the white screen of death. Every time I manage to get back into the in staller, but it never completes. Is there a soltuion to this?
Hold down the left mouse button during boot to eject the CD.
Have you tried reformatting the drive?
alright I got a differnet drive and it managed to work, I think the order drive just died on me :(. Oh well, thanks for the help anyways!
Drive failure is what I would have suspected. One trick that you can try, is to remove the partitions, map out the bad sectors, and create partitions around the bad sectors.
I'd also suggest using OSX 10.5.8 PPC. I never found 10.4, any version, to be stable. 10.3 and 10.5 were both more reliable.
