I can't get Modem Mgr to work in 80 columns mode with the VidHD card. I've tried all the video drivers and the only one that works is the "Apple II 80 columns" driver, but the text gets garbled.
Has anyone else got it work with the VidHD? In 40 columns mode Modem Mgr works fine.
Or can anyone suggest any other terminal emulator software that works in 80 columns with the Apple II+? ProTerm isn't compatible with the II+ and I'm struggeling to understand how ASCII Express works...
So, I found a manual for ASCII Express and got it working. Using the "Apple //e 80 columns" video driver in AE works with the VidHD card.
But I can't get it to display correctly when connecting to tty on a Raspberry. I've tried different baud rates and 9600 works best, but still with garbled text. If I use Minicom om the Raspberry I can send text back and forth with the Apple with no issues at all. But when conecting to tty there are issues. Any settings in AE or on the Raspberry that I can tweak?
I should add that connecting to tty on the Raspberry using Modem Mgr works perfectly fine, if it weren't for the 80 column issue.
Your display suggests that you might have the IRQ switch on your super serial card in the wrong position.
It looks like you are dropping a lot of characters coming from your RPi at 9600 baud.
Thank you! I toggled the interrups switch to its ON position and now ASCII Express works! It's still dropping a few characters here and there, but much much better.
