What movies do you remember that showed an Apple ][ computer in it?

Can anyone name any old flicks that showed Apple ]['s in theme? I was cracking up the last night when I caught National Lampoon's Family Vacation , and in the opening part of the movie , it shows an Apple II PLUS sitting on a table , but if you look closely , theres no Monitor Cable hooked up! It does however show everything else , the II PLUS unit with the normal rainbow colored ribbon cable going to a Disk ][ Drive! Was neat seeing it in the movie , but rather odd when I took a second look again and noticed that it had no Monitor Cable going out of the II PLUS!

Re: NL's Family vacation...

Probably more interesting then the ][+ in that scene is the Bally Astrocade video game console sitting next to it. (I actually remembered it as being a Fairchild Channel F, but after seeing YouTube rip of the scene I stand corrected. I guess they both had those weird "joystick knob on a stick" controllers and fat woodgrain consoles, so I don't feel too bad.) As for the monitor cable, it's painfully obvious looking at the graphics on the TV that they weren't computer generated, at least by an Apple ][. (There is no "real" pixel pitch... or at the least it's *way* too fine, and you'll also notice transparency when two objects pass over each other, suggesting it's probably hand-drawn cell animation.) ;^)

Speaking of monitor cables, it's not an Apple ][ sighting but I remember being amused when I noticed that one of the "instruments" in the talent show scene of "Revenge of the Nerds" was a TRS-80 Color Computer (my first computer). The interesting thing about it is it appears the CoCo *may* actually be driving the TV set on stage, as the equalizer/video kaleidiscope graphics appear to match the output from the Audio Spectrum Analyzer program pack Radio Shack sold for the CoCo. If true this would make it one of those rare examples of the computer pictured in the movie *actually* providing the screen graphics attributed to it.

Thread duplication

There is already an old topic thread that deals with this.

It cites John Carpenters' The Thing. Kurt Russel uses an Apple II to make a probability assessment about the alien taking over Earth if it can reach a city.

There was a very early 80's

There was a very early 80's movie that used A2-FS1 as part of a spacecraft's instrument panel. Seemed to be much in the flavor of DarkStar - but it was not that.  Ideas and recollections?

Found a webpage about Apple II's in movies and tv

I Found this page: http://starringthecomputer.com/computer.php?c=37 list lots of movies and tv shows that the Apple II was in. Doesn't seem to include what ever movie you are asking about. Interstingly enough it also doesn't include 2010: The Year We Make Contact, which showed Roy Scheider using an Apple //c. That could possibly be the movie you're looking for.
