Hi guys,
Trying to get my IIe working again, and get the following error on diag boot....
IOU FLAG E5: 1 2 3 4 8
Looks like a problem booting with the IOU chip.
Anyone have a spare IOU chip they wouldn't mind sending my way?
Thanks,
David

Yeah, I probably have one kicking around. The way you wrote it IIe and not //e indicates that you want it for an unehanced set-up right?
Turns out I still need one of these IOU chips - does anyone else possibly have a spare?
The IIe and //e IOU chips are the same.
Yes, agreed.
Turns out mutant_pie does not have a spare.
Does anyone else have a spare?
I have a couple Parts Machines... One I know has the IOU and MMU removed ( I already traded them to someone ), the other I might be able to pull the IOU out...

I have a couple of them from parts boards. I am out of town until next week. I'd be willing to send you one just for the cost of shipping. PM me if you are interested. I'll be back Wednesday evening.
Thanks
Jay
IOU 344-0020-A is on it's way
I happened to finally get to my stash of IIe
motherboards. I found out a peculiar thing.
Some MBs have socketed MMUs and IOUs and some don't.
Some are even stranger, with a socketed MMU and non-socketed
IOU and vice-versa.
If you need another IOU, I have one packaged and ready to go.
Just PM me your address if you want a spare.
Steven
I just dusted off my Apple ][e and received a similar error code, indicating that the IOU went bad. I did some web searching and it led me to this awesome forum. Does anyone have a spare/working IOU that I could purchase for a reasonable price?
I am not sure that it matters, but I require a 344-0020-A. Thanks!
