I very recently procured two of these devices, both with interface card (however one missing its ribbon cable)
I haven't tested them with my Apple ][+ yet but I figured I would ask here if anyone had some suggestions.
They appear to have been serviced sometime in the early 1990s.
The web didn't pull up much beyond press releases from 1983...
The model of these is "WAP10" which suggests a 10mb rather than the 5mb drive listed in the release.
I am wondering if working, would it boot like Disk ][ does (automatically....), or do I need to run a loader program (Which I do not have) or what?
I'm very excited to have a harddrive for my Apple ][, my little system is really starting to come together :)
UPDATE:
I installed it to slot 7 and gave it the old PR#7 which booted into prodos and a BASIC loader menu...
I transferred DOS 3.3 -> PRODOS copy of Dig Dug onto the drive and it loads it with a healthy BRUN.
Seems pretty happy! Doesn't have much on it, but it clearly was installed in an //e previously (Appleworks installed)
Hopefully the other drive is just as happy, we'll see later :)
derp, figured it out
