After some initial difficulties with the video section of my Newton I, I managed to find the culprit with the help of the 2513 datasheet. I've got one non-working and one semi-working 2504v(maybe). I removed the former chip and now got the alternating characters of ^'s and blinking @'s. Clear screen works and displays the blinking @ sign at the upper left corner of the screen. The video seems to be half-working. Well atleast I got the blinking/flashing @.
While I wait for the new 2504v's to arrive I thought I could just proceed with the microcomputer section. And I did and resetting seems to work with the blinking '@' sign and a '\' above it. Yoohoo!:)
Now I need a keyboard to test it further. I'm thinking of using an Arduino board to interface a ps2 keyboard but I'm not sure yet how. Any ideas? On the Apple I keyboard, what's the STROBE use?
