I just picked up a free 630CD motherboard and was wondering if anyone knows if it is compatible with any other macs or mac mods like the Color Classic?
Thanks.

Max,
They just placed this unit up on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1995-Apple-Macintosh-Performa-631CD-Computer-/261340885759?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd92172ff#ht_367wt_865
It has all sorts of pictures.
It may help.
The 630 isn’t a direct plug-in like the LC575 is in the Color Classic, it uses a different edge connector. To use one in a CC you’d need to do the Takky upgrade and to do that you really need the 630 wiring harness. Most people going through the trouble of doing the Takky upgrade usually want to use a PPC board
While similar in appearance, there were basically two edge connectors/wiring harnesses, and they're not cross-compatible:
The original version works with:
--Color Classic
--Macintosh TV
--LC 520/550
--LC 575
The later version works with:
--LC 580
--LC 630
--All PowerPC-based systems (e.g. LC 5200, 6360, 6400, etc.)
Basically, if the system originally shipped with an IDE hard drive, it uses the later version of the connector.
Sounds like it isn't worth holding onto. Thanks for everyones replies, I appreciate it.
