InterNews 2.0.1

InterNews 2.0.1 is a Macintosh newsreader originally developed at Dartmouth
College. It runs on both 68K and PPC Macs and requires 2 MB of RAM and an
Internet connection to a newshost (NNTP service).

- InterNews 2.0 is not an "off-line" newsreader.

This is a summary of the major features added to InterNews between versions
1.1 and 2.0:

- Runs native on the PowerPC.
- Supports OpenTransport as well as MacTCP.
- No 32K text limit on articles.
- Support for the Internet Configuration System.
- Command-click on any URL to launch a helper application.
- Access to a .newsrc file on a remote host.
- You can save/append/print whole topics.
- Improved searching in newsgroups, topics, and articles.
- Automatic marking of cross-posted articles.
- Article filtering for kills and hilites.
- Binary file download and conversion support.
- SOCKS firewall compatible.
- Archiving articles to disk and viewing them directly in InterNews.
- Improved site configuration capabilities.
- Password protected Newsgroup Exclusion filter.
