I have always loved the short cartoons that Don Hertzfeldt has put out. If you don't know what I am talking about, you might want to see this:
That is one of his more famous ones, but if you look around youtube, you will find a bunch of others. these are all hand drawn and put together with film. I love these, because this guy holds nothing back as far as creativity. You owe it to yourself to watch these
