I got a original Logitech scanman for mac at a garage sale for $1. And they did not have any of the disks that came with it. so if anyone has the driver for it please get back to me. because i would like to hook it up to one of my vintage macs.
thanks
I had a ScanMan, but sold it through the LEM Swaplist earlier this summer. It had a software diskette & manual, but was missing the power pack. Not sure if the disk was readable or not, as I didn't have a machine that would read an 800k diskette... I might be able to dig up contact info for the guy who bought it though.
I did scan the manual for it & put it into pdf format, if that is of any help to you. PM me if you'd like a link to it.
thanks for responding. if you can get any drivers let me know it would be a great help.
thanks
I wonder if Paperport 5.1 (or earlier) could possibly work with it. I downloaded it off the internet last year.
But i do also have an original Paperport visoneer with localtalk ports. Do you know if it supports the original visoneer with localtalk over os 9. if u think it will please send it to me and i will try it.
thanks

I am in the process of trying to join this group to get the software and here is the form letter they sent and want me to answer. See below:
Can someone please explain why this Yahoo group owner thinks he is running some sort of secret religous society...makes me think of the History Channel show that was done on the Davinci Code.
Disseminating the Paperport software is probably illegal. He may have to worry about falling into the "Napster" problem. I purchased a Strobe Pro later last year from an authorized seller which came with the Mac software, so I do own it legally.
I don't quite know what disseminating means but i don't think i want to do it.
disseminate: scatter, distribute over a large area or range, circulate, share with a lot of others. Whenever you install software, there's usually a legal agreement you have to agree to by clicking on "I agree," etc., and that agreement typically states how and who has the right to use your installation and whether it can be installed multiple times. We all read that agreement everytime, including all the pages and pages of fine print, right?
Yes i don't think i would want to disseminate.
