Hello,
i'm looking for a Apple II Emulator that work's fine with Linux (Ubuntu 7.10)
At this time I use DOSBOX (Dos Emulator) and later a ApplePC 2.52 for Dos
Did anyone know Apple II Emulator that works with Linux.
It should be easy to use and install like AppleWin for Windows.
or should I try AppleWin with a Windows Emulator like Wine (Wine is a Windows Emulator)?

Never run this, but looks promising for your purposes:
http://linapple.sourceforge.net/
This is technically a IIgs emulator, but a IIgs emulates a II:
http://kegs.sourceforge.net/
Unfortunately neither is available as an Ubuntu package, so you'll have to compile them. Which should be easy as long as your Ubuntu machine is set up with the necessary compilers and development libraries. (You'll probably have to apt-get install a bunch of packages ending in -dev if you *don't* have them.)
There *is* an Apple emulator in the "Universe" repository called "apple2/xapple2", but it's difficult to run on a modern computer. (Only works in full screen svga mode or on an 8 bit X server.)

I try to run LinApple on Linux but I could not get it run. I also tryed xapple2 without succes. So I installed Wine on Ubuntu Linux and AppleWin works perfekt with Wine!!
