I am having trouble watching the WWDC 2005 Video over Quicktime. I'm not sure if it my connection, or it is Apple's servers. I am dying to see the reactions on the Face of the crowd when apple announces the Intel/Apple fusion. Does anyone know a server that i can download the video instead of streaming it?

try plugging directly into the interne through the ethernet prot and not through airport. worked for me this way.
UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Uh, no.
There is NO WAY that your internet connection is faster than your airport card. At least not till this time next year.
Is that right? Then why do I get 6 megs down on my wired network, and 2.5 megs down on my airport network?
You should be getting faster speeds through wireless than through a wired connection.
The Keynote is going slow for me too, probably because every other Mac owner in the world is trying to see it at the same time. Wait till later and try it again after the geeks go to bed.
You're kidding...right? You might want to do a little research on that.
dude maybe you need to come out of the cave your in, you get 100-1000mbps(mega-bits per second) through wired and 10mbps with regular airport and 54mbps with airport extreme.
I have cable internet and I get the full 54 mbs speed on my 17' iMac. I think he is crazy to think that wired internet is slow. Just wait until the geeks go to bed like he said.
... whether you're connected via wireless or Cat. 5; the bottleneck is your connection to the Internet. Most high speed connections (cable modems and DSL) have connection speeds in the neighborhood of 128K to 512K; just a fraction of what you can get through ethernet (10 to 100Mb) or wireless (up to 56Mb).
If the feed is slow, it's the load that's causing it. Like the man said, wait until the geeks have gone to bed.
I was having minor problems, some choppiness, audio quitting, and had to occasionally close and re-open. I downloaded the Quicktime 7 Public Preview and it was perfect. There was a higher quality option too. I think it is because you get to stream the H.264 instead of the regular MPEG4? Not sure.
Oh god, please someone go to this man's house and take his toy away. Your 54Mb connection comes from you WIRELESS ACCESS POINT. That's INSIDE your network. The speed your router connects to your cable\dsl modem is NOT anywhere near 54Mb, and won't be for at least a half decade or so. Why have computers if you don't bother to know the basics of operating them? You were bragging earlier about your super mac, but if you don't even know the basics of YOUR network, what is the point of having all that hardware-obviously you're not equipped to deal with the full potential. Go buy your mac mini and ship the other hardware to someone who could actually use it as something other than a kid's toy.
With all this crap about pluging into airports etc.. some of us are simply not getting the feed, whether it is due to airports, aliens or whatever.. could SOMEONE JUST POST A LINK FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD!
Thank you
Either get back on topic or this thread will be closed.
waited till last night and watched it. I think the server has quited down on apple's end. I am surprised there wasn't much comotion in the auditorium when steve announced the switch. In fact, it was almost dead silent...
Whatever, get a life
It's people who give out "advice" and have no clue what the hell that they are doing that makes my job so much harder. IF YOU DON'T KNOW SOMETHING, DON'T SAY IT!!!!!!
Why would you brag about all this stuff if you don't have the chops to back it up? It will only come back to haunt you. BTW...This obsession with the switch to Intel as some sort of betrayal indicates that you've got NO CLUE about business which matches up with the displayed technical skills from before. A HUGE company changed a limiting feature in it's ability to grow and profit to a structure that frees them to help take down the opposition is NOT A BETRAYAL. Apple does not OWE you anything. They make a product that is geared to what they percieve the market as needing and if they fail, it's business. They make computers and damn good ones. Your inability to tell what speed your internet connection runs at indicates to me that you sure as hell won't be doing any software design that could be affected by the switch. You're a typical ignorant end user (which is fine, most are) so don't pretend like you've got anything other than a fancy for some damn cool hardware
Relax reklusband. Little Timmy has already been banned.
