Card diagnostics

After a 40 year hiatus, I'm having fun reintroducing myself to the Apple II. I've picked up two IIe systems from local sellers, leaving me with an array of cards: SSC2, LIRON, Buffered Grappler+, a few different disk controllers. I've downloaded and used Card Cat 1.6 to confirm that the cards are identified correctly, but is there any software out there that can run diagnostics to see if these old cards are still working properly? I can probably test the SSC2 with ADTPro and the LIRON with the Floppy Emu I picked up, but I have no real way of knowing if the Grappler is working.

Disk II will not write

I've recently got my IIe out of storage and cleaned up both drives. One works OK but the other appears to function, but does not write. It apparently formats OK, I can download a DSK file using ADTPro, which runs without any errors, but when I examine the disk it has the original contents before the format. Can the write process proceed and fail without any error messages? ADTPro is working OK on the aufio link, there is no problem there.

Is it possible to convert a bootable 5.25" game to 3.5" disk?

I have a copy of Wizardry both in 5.25" floppy form as well as a CFFA disk image. While I can run the game fine from the 5.25" drive, I can't get the images to run after the logo screen from the CFFA, or write one to 3.5" disk and run it using that drive. Does anybody have advice?

A strange problem with the Language Card

Hello Everyone.

I'm new here and I'd like some help to understand what's going on.

In July of this year I assembled a replica of the Apple II Rev. 0. and over time I've been assembling the Expansion Cards (Disk II Controller and HDMI Video Card). Everything is working perfectly without crashes.

However, in the last month I assembled the Memory Expansion Card (Language Card), since then I've been having some strange problems.

Apple Sider

I have two Sider drives made in 1985, so I guess they are 10MB. Also have two Apple II interface cards with a 50 pin 2 row header - one is ribbon connected to a 37D, and there is one bus terminator housed in a 37 D shell. They have been in storage and I'm not going to power up until I find the 37D daisy cables, which should be lurking in one of my junk boxes. I read somewhere they need to be parked and should not be used until the last drive in the chain is terminated, either could cause damage. I have no discs, or manuals, but there may be stuff on the drives.

ZIPGSX (10MHz, 64k Cache, Working) - Trade or Sell

Hello!I have a coveted Zip GSX, 10mhz with 64k cache, all original (as in the card shipped with those specs). Very hard to find. Would love to trade this for a Transwarp GS running similar speeds. Anyone intrested? Would also be willing to just sell it - make me an offer! Really just looking for some options, not sure if I may change my mind later, but would love to peek around right now!
