MISSING GAMES

Hello Everyone!

I've been collecting game ROMs from Apple II and some of those games are pretty hard to find. I'm particularly looking for this version of the game "Pong": https://www.mobygames.com/game/100249/pong/Has anyone managed to get it?

Apple II PowerSupply re-Died need help

Hello Community,

I need your help with an Apple II powersupply that I repaired and that re-died one more time.

The power supply is a ASTEC A11040B.

The first time, I changed the 2 RIFA Caps on C1 & C23. A few days after, It stop working with no reason,

I discovered that R8 & R28 are dead, I decided to replace them, I put power back and the 2 new resistor burn with small fire.

It is completly out my skillset and I want to understand what to do, what ot check, and if possible to repair it

Any MIDI games besides U5?

I came across an original Passport MIDI card for $30 and figured, why not? Got it hooked up in my IIe to my MT32 pi (for anyone not familiar, that is a raspberry pi based Roland mt32 emulator) and gave the only software I know of that uses it (Ultima V) a try. Worked and sounded great.

Were there any other games that utilized MIDI at all? Or any playback software? I'm not finding anything outside of U5 in my searches.

Retro Magazines Ep:01 - C&VG - First Edition, November 1981

Retro Magazines Ep:01 - C&VG - First Edition, November 1981

It's November 1981 and a completely NEW type of computing magazine hits the shelves in the UK.

Rather than scoffing at video gaming, instead Computer and Video Games would celebrate this new aspect of computing in all its forms.

Join me as I return to a time before the stalwarts of the 8-Bit micro scene here in the UK.

No Spectrum, no Commodore 64.

Laser 128 to VGA (or DVI or HDMI)

I have a Laser 128 and would like to get/build an adapter for the Video Expansion Port to a VGA/DVI monitor.  I know Microbee and others have built and sold adapters, but I cannot seem to find them any more.  If I get a spec, I may be able to piece one together.  Not real interested in the //c VGA adapter because I believe it uses the composite line of the output whereas the Laser port offers full RBG.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Apple II keyboard mods

I bought a non working Apple II,

I discover a mess on the back side of the motherboard with a lot of wire (custom scart card on slot 7),

There is also 1 wire from the 2nd pin of the keyboard connector connected to the mother board with like a custom ROM,

Do someone knows what kind of keyboard mod it would be ?

Thanks

Vincent

Franklin ACE 2000 Series Technical Reference Manual

I scanned and uploaded the Franklin ACE 2000 series technical reference manual to Asimov, it's in the "incoming" folder under the name (Franklin ACE 2000 Series Computer Technical Reference Manual.pdf).  Seems I'm missing schematic 3 "Main memory", but I wonder if page 118 is that schematic since it seems out of place in that section.
