Which Apple II SCSI card is the right one to keep?

I dunno maybe this will sound like a silly question but I have the New GGlabs A2SCSI card and the original  Ram FAST SCSI card as well. Which one is better? Which should I keep? If I was to trade or sell one away, which is the better card to keep for myself and why?

Cherry MX to Datanetics DC-51 Keyboard Switch Adapter

Hi everyone,

While discussing with someone I know about the Apple II+ and a pair of machines I revived earlier last fall, they mentioned that their own II+'s keyboard had "a few" defective keys and that they hadn't been using it much since. I offered to take a look and retrieved the ailing machine a few weeks later.

Orca Pascal

I recently bought the Orca suite of software and am trying some of the tutorials in Orca Pascal.

(I am hoping to write a IIGS game, and worked with Borland Delphi a lot decades ago.)

I hit a snag when trying to compile any example that involves the "uses" statement.

(although I can easily compile vanilla code examples)

The error message is "Could not start tools: 7686"

(image attached here)

I am thinking I likely need to copy some files to some location on the hard disk,

and things will compile.

Just as it says. Looking for a complete copy/scan of the Einstein Compiler manual. Not the mini-manual, but the original one around 150 pages.

Apple IIc with memory chip problems

I bought an Apple IIc off ebay recently and it was advertised as having memory issues as a lot of these machines do. I ordered the ROM chip that contains the self-test code and made the necessary mods to the motherboard so I could self-test the RAM chips. When I did, it said that aux RAM chips 0, 2, 3, and 4 were bad. I've replaced all the RAM chips with sockets and tried a couple different vendors online for replacement RAM chips. No matter what I do I can't seem to get it to pass the RAM test or show different results. I've swapped chips arounds and it doesn't follow the chips.

Looking for one ii plus short Alps keyswitch

Hello group,

Would any member have a good short Alps keyswitch for a ii plus they’d be willing to part with? These are the ones with the cream colored stems.  I don’t even care if the switch is working, I just need the stem.

Thanks

Replacing NiCad battery on Timemaster HO cards

Hello all,

I have a couple Timemaster HO cards with the original Data Sentry branded NiCad batteries sodlered on. One of the PCBs appears to have fared pretty well, with just a little corrosion on the solder pads. The other though appears to have some trace damage perhaps from the battery leaking.

Apple2 memory map for Cubbyhole optimizations?

Hi!  When I program in cc65 C, I usually use an optimization technique.  It states that I can use parts of the OS's memory, a.k.a. Low memory, that aren't used during the course of a cc65 program can be used for a program's code and data.  I like this technique, as it buys me a little extra space.  AFAIK, the range from $0200-$02FF is used to read a line of keyboard input and can be used if a program doesn't use the ROM's routines for such, and the range $0300-$03FF is used by DOS 3.3 and is available when using ProDOS.  Am I right?  Where can I find a memory map for the Apple2 series?
