Apple II

Another Apple II (Original?) on ebay

This is the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/original-Apple-II-Apple-A2S1-computer-needs-work-/190799893871?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item2c6c8f556f

I thought I might bid on this particular machine, since the price was right, but as I looked at the final picture showing the bottom pan and the Apple II label and Serial number, I noticed something odd.

There seems to be some sort of haze(?) around the label.
This makes me think that it was Photoshopped some how.

So I toss it out to the experts...

Copying disks between controllers

Ok,

I am trying to remember which copy program allows you to copy from a drive on a controller in slot 5 to a controller in slot 6.

What I am trying to do is use my CFFA card (slot 5) to copy an image to a real diskette in slot 6. I assume I just use a standard copy program that supports two controllers.

The problem is my ever trusty Copy II plus version I have doesn't.

So the question is from all the images on asimov... which program will let me do this.

Thanks,
Corey

Blown fuse in silver Apple II power supply.

Ok, my Apple II's silver power supply has a blow fuse. At first I thought it was the switch until I drilled out the rivets and the switch was fine, but the fuse is blown.

I will take it apart and check the bridge rectifier tomorrow. I think I have to unsolder the switch and power entry module to get to the bottom of the board.

Is the fuse some sort of soldered in fuse, I can't seem to get it out. It looks like its in a holder....

More Japanese cassettes

Got another batch of early Japanese cassettes the other day, and have been converting them to usable .aif audio files. Antoine from Brutal Deluxe is helping me get a few of the more stubborn ones up and running, so those ones will arrive later I guess.

Anyway, check it out on my site here:

Can someone tell me which model Macintosh used the //e card , so that you can hook up a 5 1/4 floppy or a 3/4 diskette to bootup Apple II software? I can't remember if it was the Macintosh PLUS or Macintosh Classic?
