iie enhancement upgrade strangeness

I recently bought an apple iie, used. I also bought an enhancement kit from Reactive Micro. The enhancement didn't work like I expected it to. Here is what happened:

][+ Video Issue

Have any of you seen this symptom before, and if so, what culprits would you suspect?

14.31818MHz Xtal - What Pico-Farad Rating?

Apple helpfully marked the xtals with their own p/n, 197-0001. Does anyone happen to know what Pico-Farad rating is correct for buying replacements? 18pF?

Are there any other ratings that fall into a narrow range that I need to stay within? I'd like to order a reasonable supply, rather than one piece, to have on hand, and I'd rather not experiment with tolerances.

Looking at http://www.willegal.net/appleii/appleii-components.htm, the system is extremely selective in what will work properly.

Apple III, only Apple II emulation works

I need some help with my Apple III. Apple III disks don't start, only a very few work actually.

Strangely the Emulations of Apple II work, The Confidence Program works, and Atomic Defense works, but none of the other disks.

The Machine is futher in working order, with the keyboard diconnected the RAM looks to be OK.

The Confidence Program gives a Machine Status:

Memory Map good for 128K, although it's a 256K machine and has 256K installed.

Disk drives all checked and the Interrupt System all checked as well.

Looking for SW and libraries for A.U.G.E. clock

Dear folks,

I'm actually having an A.U.G.E. clock for repair action and do need some SW as well as libraries to be able to test the card right after having finalized the repair actions.

I know that there is some stuff at the Apple-Box from Harro... but this did'nt help me here. So if someone is having such card and some relevant software I would appreciate if he/she would share this information with me.

ProFile Cable: Need Reminder, Is it DB25 Straight Through?

I am pretty sure that the cable for the ProFile is DB25, wired straight through, male to male. That is from memory of the last time I had to replace one, in the mid 1990s. Can anyone confirm this?

How do you know which version of AppleDOS you have?

I picked up an Apple IIc for $30 which was not in great shape, but I think I've got everything working on it.  The upper bank of memory had 4 bad DRAM's which I 've replaced, I upgraded it to the 4X ROM, cleaned the disk head, fixed the volume control, and got the keyboard cleaned up and working decently.  It was so grimy when I got it, but lots of cleaning and some retrobrighting and it looks pretty decent now.  I didn't get all the yellow removed so it would look white like the bottom, but it looks good.

Turbo Pascal for Apple II CP/M - Graphic support?

Did Turbo Pascal for Apple II CP/M ever support Apple II graphics modes? I have been writing some simple Pascal programs with Turbo Pascal 2.0 on my Apple II Plus with MS Softcard. I would like to add some graphics, but got errors when I tried some commands like HGR, GR or Hires. My Turbo Pascal 2.o User Manual is buried in the garage in a box somewhere and I can not find anything about Apple II graphics support via a web search.

][+ Slot Issue, Disk ][ Card, Possibly Others

One of my Rev 7 ][+ bench boards recently started doing somethign rather odd: When a (known good) Disk ][ card is installed in Slot 7, the system works as expected, but if the same card (tested on other machines) in installed in slot 6 or a lower slot, the system exhibits random errors and crashes. The video output becomes distorted (dims, flickers, oscillates), and/or it tries to boot and crashes, or it simply hangs with a wavy video output.

I only noticed this because I had to load CP/M for a test, and CP/M needs to run from slot 6...
