loading asm & Applesoft program

Working on some interfacing experiments.  They come from a book called "Interfacing & digital experiments with your apple" by Charles Engelsher.  It requires me to load both an assembly program and applesoft program at the same time.  The applesoft program calls the assembly program as a sub routine.   I wrote the assembly program using Lisa v2.5.   Can't figure out how to back out of Lisa once the binary is loaded and lauch the applesoft program???  If I try to load the assembly program outside of Lisa I get a file type error message.  Could I be getting tripped up by two different ver

Apple IIc keyboard - external options?

Hey everyone!

Did anyone ever find an alternative or hack to allow an external keyboard with an Apple IIc?

I have a IIc that has a somewhat battered keyboard, and would like to perhaps mod it to allow a new keyboard to be attached to it.

Thanks for any info you can throw my way!

Journal or Diary for the IIgs

Hi All, I would really like to find a Diary or Jounal I can use on my IIgs. Even Apple II software

would be fine.  I just want to keep a running tab on things.

Appreciate the help.

SCRG Switch a Slot schematics?

Does anyone know if a schematic exists for the SCRG Switch a Slot? Seems like the Switch a Slot is pretty rare and the chances of finding one even slimmer. Was wanting to make one instead, but cant find any schematics on it.

Startup from Ram Drive Always

Hi all, I was trying to setup Flash Boot on my IIgs and got to the point where it said "Startup from Ram drive once."

and when I pushed enter the window just droped down to "Startup always" and so I pushed enter again.  Nothing really happened

so I turned off my system and now I can not get it up again.  I can not use the keyboard OA-Cntr-Reset to restart my

system after I reset the Startup Option to "Scan" or "Slot 5".  Can someone please tell me how I can get out of this Hell.

Apple //e with Horizontal Bars?

I've been working on an Apple //e mother board for a while with no luck.  It worked when I got it, and all the ICs are socketed.  So I tried to use it to diagnose another malfunctioning board.  Unfortunately it didn't work, and when I reseated all the original ICs it stopped working all together (no video, no beep).  Finally I decided to give it a run through the dishwasher (figured that I couldn't kill a dead board) and now I get 12 horizontal bars across my screen, each 8 pixels tall.  This is the most life I've gotten out of this thing in months!

Apple II rev. 0 (ventless) added to my collection

I've just acquired a rev. 0 Apple II with a ventless case. The serial number is 92 and it's working with most components still original. I'll post more information and photos once I have it in my hands next week.

Apple IIe Transwarp problem

As you can see from the images, my transwarp is causing corrupt characters on the display. I've tried reseating all the chips, cleaning the contacts, replacing all the ram, swapping cpus with my apple iie(enhanced), and removing all other cards. Any suggestions. Bad rom?

Fixing / connecting a Disk 2 drive

I've got two Disk 2 drives that I'd like to get up and running, but I'm a little unclear as how to proceed.

The problem is that both drives came without cables, so ordered those in ahead of time. I was expecting to hook these up to a Disk 2 controller card. However, the Apple IIe that showed up with these drives has an I/O controller with a different dsub connector. So given that I'm running 5v and 12v through those cables, I'd like to make sure I hook them up correctly.

It's been kind of hard to find a definitive source the explain this, so I'm looking to get some input.

Text reader for Apple IIgs

Hi All, I can not seem to find a basic text reader like SimpleText for the IIgs.

I can't believe there isn't one, could someone point me in the right direction.

Much appreciated.
