My IIgs list two 5.25 drives connected when I only have one

Is it normal for the IIgs to list two 5.254 drives when only one is connected?

Can a Disk II drive be connected directly to the IIc motherboard? (Update: Yes it can!)

I seem to be dealing with a double-dose of trouble here. Not only is my recently-acquired Apple II Plus ailing, but I just discovered that the internal disk drive in my Apple IIc is no longer reading or writing disks. I already plan on cleaning the heads (Need to find some anhydrous alcohol) and calibrating the RPMs, and failing those I'll just try to find a new drive off eBay or someplace else, so I don't quite yet need help with that specific problem.

IIGS RAM disk?

Okay, I've had a IIGS for about 15 years now and yet I don't know much about how it works so bear with me... I was messing around with CopyIIPlus and I noticed an option to copy files to a "RAM disk" (Slot 3, drive 2)--but it was listed as "/DISCONNECTED" and when I try to access this drive (copy to or catalog), the computer just beeps at me. Does this mean I have no RAM, or that it is simply disabled?

Apple II+ Bad Memory/ROM?

Hello all. I am a newcomer to the board. I recently purchased an Apple II Plus from eBay. Aside from a 16K expansion card, it is a bare system. No monitor, no disk drive or controller, no other expansion cards. Just the computer itself (I've separately purchased a disk drive and controller, still waiting for them to arrive). However, I know that the computer will still boot into the BASIC prompt even if no disk drive is attached, so I decided to play around with it anyway.

Help needed transferring Apple II software from Mac LCIII

Greetings! I'm new to this forum, but am sort of an "oldtime" Apple IIgs user having had one for about 15 years... I got it in high school and it was indeed ancient even back then. Now after all this time, I'd like to get the most out of it by getting some software I've downloaded over to it. This is turning out to be much more difficult than I'd anticipated! I've looked over many forum discussions and web articles that illustrate various methods of accomplishing this with an old Mac. Luckily I have the perfect era Mac for this--an old LCIII.
