Announcing 8bit-Unity: Cross-platform SDK for 8bit games

Hey guyz,

Last month I released 8bit-Slicks for the C64, Atari XL and Apple//e. It is the first cross-platform online game for 8bit era computers.

While developping the game, I organized my project into a "game" part, and a "SDK" part, for future re-use. It then occured to me that other people would benefit from this base for development of cross-platform 8bit games.

Apple II+ display and disk issues

Hello:

I am new to this site and this is my first post.  I recently purchased an early Apple II+  from the estate of its original owner (motherboard date code is 7934).  I am trying to sort out a number of issues to get it back up and running.

Horizontal bars on the Apple II+ screen

I have a problem with the Apple II+ motherboard(RFI) which I restored and had been working well without problems so far. The problem occurred yesterday.

The symptom was that the HGR mode became unstable and the screen was slightly flickering. I summarize the symptoms after restart. With reference to previous posts

, I inspected the IC pins and replaced , but it is not improved. I can not identify the problem IC. Character ROM may be suspicious, but this can not be inspected because it does not have.

Apple II power supply SN 8603, broken power switch

I just acquired an original Apple II power supply A2M001, nice low serial 8603.  It is great all-original condition and still works, except that the original mechanical power switch is stuck.  Of course I would like to replace the power switch so it works.  The question is, what would you do to fix it?

First, the two aluminum rivets that secure the PS enclosure were already removed by the previous owner.  I determined that this was done to hard-wire the switch to be "always on".  So nothing is lost by opening this supply, since the original rivets were already removed anyways.

Appli-Card on enhanced Apple IIe

This seems not to be working.  It's been a while since I brought up CP/M on either of my Apple IIe and I think it had the 'enhanced' upgrade done since that time.  Now on both of my enhanced Apple IIe machine the Appli-Card no longer works.  Is this a known compatibility issue or has mu Appli-Card gone south (so to speak)?

Apple iie - change in behavior after PSU failure/recap

I am new to this community - this is my first post!

I recently picked up a 1982 Apple //e.  When it arrived it powered on and was working fine.  Partway through the "Apple Presents...Apple" disk the PSU's .1uF 250V film capacitor popped.  The //e was still running, but I shut it down ASAP.  I've since replaced all the capacitors in the PSU, and the //e is running fine aside from these two peculiarities:
