Apple II

Just got a //c

About 24 years after seeing one and deciding my old Europlus was in need of replacing I've finally got a working Apple //c with the green screen monitor, PAL modulator and even a Woz signed mouse.

It powers up fine, but until I can find where I stored my ancient collection of Apple ][ disks (and assuming they still work) the only thing I can get on screen is the Check Disk text.

Is there a key combi to bypass the disk boot and drop to the old command line so I can mess around with Applesoft, do a call -151 and play the "how many opcodes can you remember" game.

How do I slow down my IIC+? Everything is running way to fast , LOL

Can someone tell me the key commands used on my IIC+ that slows down the speed of the computer? I can't remember off hand how to enable/disable the hyper speed on this IIC+ , when I run programs its at lightning speeds lol , but I can't find in the manual how to slow it to normal op. speed....... I know there are a series of keys you press when it boots up and it tells you on the screen when this is done...

I know it is hard to say out loud which child you like the best, but I'm sure almost all of us have a favorite. If not a favorite, at least the most unique or even valuable. What is the pride and joy of your Apple II collection, if you had to pick one?

Fitting PAL Encoder card

I recently managed to obtain a PAL Encoder card to give me colour (color) output from my Europlus.

Is there a recommended slot to fit this into?

Also, the card has a trailing wire (Orange, in my case), which I assume has to be connected to the motherboard somewhere.

Which connector should this wire be attached to?

How about running GBBS with in Applewin?

What would the possibility of having GBBS run through Applewin? Since alot of people have already converted all their floppies to .DSK format and alot of the Hard Drive images as well have been converted of to .HDD . This would be kinda cool in itself! If there was a way for Applewin to emulate an Applecat Modem , or Micromodem or what ever one had at the time... Would be neat to boot up these old BBS's and run them again and see how they were at the time they went off line!

eBay Warning. Suspicious Seller.

Good evening all.

I wanted to report a suspicious seller on ebay.

His name is CAPKNIGHT and he specifically sells Apple II items.

At the moment he has several items for sale including an Applied Engineering Accelerator for a IIgs. The kicker is that there is a shill (r***r) jacking up the prices on the cards.

(r***r) has forced the price up of this particular card to $405.00 within the last six hours. He has 62 bid retractions in the last six months and 30% of the time he bids on CAPKNIGHT's items.
