Apple II software collectors?

Hi all,

I have always enjoyed reading the hardware discussions here in the forum, but I am interestied in finding out how many of you collect Apple II and IIgs software. I am not talking about the readily available downloadable disk images, but the orginal software complete in the box. My personal collection of orginal software complete in the box is currently around 156 titles. A modest collection compared to a few collectors I know.

Cards, Cards, and more Cards.

Baskets full of expansion cards ( Not BIG baskets, lol )have shown up on eBay the last few days.
AE and other manufacturers' 1.5 Meg Memory cards, 1 Meg memory cards, RGB cards, ROM cards, Accelerators, Controllers, modems, etc.
They all have reasonable starting bids associated with them and they all seem to be in pretty good shape. Some are just the cards (with or without associated cables) and some come complete in the box with software.
It's a good time to look for expansion cards if you are in the market, or have a wish list to be filled.

Ah Yes.....It's an Apple II Christmas on eBay

Why is it that every year about this time folks break out thier "Lost Treasures!", "Kept in a closet for 20 years!", "Squeaky Clean!", "Ultra Rare!!" Apple II and Mac items?

They could have placed these things up for auction any time during the year and probably sold them with no problems for a reasonable amount, but they always wait until Christmas when they think that they can jack up the price (not only of the item, but for shipping too) and get away with it.

Is making apple //e clones today legal because the copyright of the original apple //e motherboard was 1984?

Crack screens of old games

Lately I've been looking at the cracked games of old Apple IIs and I've become really interested in the cracked screens/signatures. How was this done? I thought it would be fun to try and do it myself.

What Kind Of Color Monitor Do You Recomend?

in your guys opinion , what is the best color monitor that you can use for the II+ or //e? one that's not over priced but handles a great job doing 80 col and color? I have a so so condition Apple II color composite , but you can tell it's already have vertical hold issues when trying to adjust the pots on them , so I was just wondering.....
