Music Studio by Activision

Hi,

I'm the maintainer of the largest archive of Atari ST chip music on the net (sndh.atari.org).

Currently I'm adding music which was composed with Activision's Music Studio.

Basically I'd like to know if songs written with the Apple version are compatible with the ST version of MS.

I've found some Apple MS tunes at

in SHK and 2mg formats.

But before I attempt to extract and convert the files could somebody please tell me if they are compatible.

5.25 (3.5) disk life span?

As I understand it, the 5.25 disk, over time, will corrupt due to the weakening of its magnetic field? If this is true does anyone have an idea of the life span? I have had a few of my older original Apple IIe programs on 5.25 disk failed when I took them out of storage (I really hated the lost of copy II plus 7.1!), usually with bad sectors. Lucky most of the backup copies I made are still good, but I feel like I am living on borrowed time with these.

Apple IIe Platinum Laptop

I have an Apple IIe Platinum without a case and I have an idea for a new one that I need to check if its possible to make one according to my idea. The case would be like that of a Power book 100, and would be operated off batteries. Not only that, but it would have an LCD screen. Any ideas?

IIGS and Mac HFS disk

I ran a cross a snippet on the internet that basicly said I could retrieve text files I had saved from my Apple IIc to 5.25 disk, write them to a 3.5 disk on my GS and finally transfer them to my Mac. As I understand it the IIgs will write a HFS disk (3.5) which the Mac can read. Now I tried this but my Color Classic just comes up with the disk intialization pop up...it obviously is not reading the disk as I thought it would based on what I read.

I tried atd pro but it is fail

I tried it today and yesterday,although I can input this file successful,but when I type received and type name,it show many codes,I don't know why?does anyone know?any way,do u know adf this software how to use.I can see .dsk inside files, but cannot put the disk or boot from apple2.what's next?what's wrong?

Formatting HD 5.25 disks on Apple IIc

I bought some 5.25 disks on eBay. They are MD2-HD (1.2MB MSDOS format) high density disks. But when I put them in the Apple IIc and to INIT HELLO, it does not format the disk. Instead I get a I/O Error.

What is going on? I thought you could format HD disks as SD... ? Can someone tell me how to fix this, thanks. Or where to get SD disks.

I just read user's guide for apple 2 .dsk.like server it's easy to see it.but client apple,I have problem,where is this software.and now I can extract .shk.is this software create .shk?and about client does anyone know another way?thx

I just read ur answer,like apple II c or before require a card,but I have no this one, and now I have no pc by my side,only macintosh,does anyone knows what kind of way to connect mac and apple II.I have apple II gs,I know a kind of way is db8 to usb,how to do?can I get .DSK file to save 3.5 disk.then take it to apple 2 extract .dsk.like before answer.apple 2 software how to get it.I just know extract.shk does anyone know this?thx

how to convert .dsk to 3.5 disk for apple 2 read.like some old 5.25 disk.some games will damgae in the future, for safely, I want to convert 3.5 disk,it is best way.in the internet I have found many .shk and convert 3.5 disk successful.this time,I want to extract .dsk to 3.5.does any one know?thx

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE MEMORY/EXEC ADDRESSES

Hi!

I have a vintage cassette tape program released by subLOGIC in the late seventies. The label says: SUBLOGIC 6502 / APPLE II 3D GRAPHICS. I would like to boot it up on my Apple II+ computer. Can someone assist me in finding the right memory/exec addresses?
