Weird issue: closing disk drive door crashes Apple IIe

I got an Apple IIe enhanced with a 5.25" disk II drive. The weird issue is that after I boot a DOS or Pro DOS disk, it works fine until I open or close the door of the disk drive! When that happens, the computer crashes with adding a few random characters on the screen and entering the monitor. At the meantime, the disk drive light is on and the disk drive keeps spinning the disk. I've run a couple of diagnostics utilities like APTEST and Cillin II, all RAM tests passed without errors. What do you think causes the issue? The disk drive?

Laser 128 Questions

Greetings.  I have recently acquired a Laser 128 - new case, non-silver badge.  I'm running Laser 128 ROM 6.0.  I have an external 5.25" drive set up and it works fine. I'm very familiar with Apple in general as a user, but not with regards to a technical/electronics level.  That being said, I'm trying to learn, but I'm a slow study.  One of my rare but most cherished success stories is how easy it was to connect ADTPro to my iMac.  That is giving me a lot of opportunity to play while I tackle the punch list below.

CFFA3000 Write Protection

Hello All -

Have another CFFA3000 question. I have discovered certain games (original Sir-Tech Wizardry for example) that will not run if the disks are not write-protected. I can verify this by putting tape over the write protect notches on real 5-1/4" floppies (which works fine). How can I do the equivalent on a CFFA3000 disk image? Can this be done for an image on a CF card, or does it have to be run only from a USB stick?

Any help will be appreciated.

CFFA3000 Question

Does anybody know how to remove unwanted disk images from a CFFA3000 disk emulator in a IIGS? They just keep accumulating. Also, how can I put them in folders?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Greengate DS:4

I've just aquired a Greengate DS:4 and wondered if anyone had any documentation or software for this Apple II based sampler. I understand that there were only 50 made and of those only 3 were sold. I am told that the device worked on both the Apple II and the Apple IIGS.

Apple /// Disk III

Another forum member recently acquired a Disk ][ drive. When it arrived, he noticed something wasn't right: it came with a 26pin cable - matching Apple ///. So it's a "Disk III", not a "Disk II", even if the front label said otherwise.

Apple II RAM issue ?

Hello Community,

I was struggling to make a language card working and I have been investigating like hell including changing the SRAM chip with older one... A complete disaster.

The language card was actually working and the fault is coming from the Apple II

I have run the Memory Dead Test ROM from MisterBlack (Adrian). And my issue is coming from the RAM circuitery.

The result of the RAM test is :
