Testing Ram on apple II Plus.

I used the following program.

 

C050 C053 C054 C057 N 265:FF N 266<265.BFFEM 266<265.BFFEV 265:0 N 266<265.BFFEM 266<265.BFFEV 34:14 (Return)

 

came back with serval numbers.  All the original apple chips have some stuff on them. But not down into the pin socketts. Of all strange things. I would just like to replace the 48k total with all new memory due to this. If somebody can point me in the correct direction. I would appriciated it.  The numbers on the chips are tm-s4116-20nl. So Texas instruments 20n ns? chips.

RAM2E - 2MB RAMWorks-compatible expansion for Apple IIe

As mentioned in my "five new open-source Apple II cards" thread, my friend and I have developed some new Apple II card hardware, so the first one I figured I'd try to finish is the RAM2E (GW4203) for Apple IIe. This card goes in the auxillary slot and adds 2 megabytes of bank-switched RAM, switchable by writing the RAM bank address into the softswitch at C073.

We (at Garrett’s Workshop) were a little surprised at how many people were interested in our GW4201-series RAM expansion for IIgs, so we figured we would design some new cards for the rest of the Apple II family:

Disk ][ LED fun

I took a little time today to get my hardware fix and decided to draw up a schematic to the bi-color LED circuit published so long ago buy Fabien Bénattou.

Disclaimer by me:  I did not design this.  I only drew it to show it's simplicity.  Very clever design that most with a little electtronics experience can build.

With a little more circuitry, you can see how this can be an insert directly to the Disk ]['s ribbon cable rather than something wired onto the analog board.

APPLE II REDBOOK 1978

If anyone needs a new updated copy of the Apple II Redbook you can email me for the PDF, it has many improvements over the 2008 PDF which I also made.

This version contains many new pages that were not done in 2008.

In the months to come the entire Redbook is being redone with all pages complete.

Coming soon will be the Apple II Bluebook.

I wonder where the shell was sourced from; since AFAIK Apple did not start doing clear shells for proto till Image Writer II time frame.

Trying to find Avalon Hill Tournament Golf disk image

I am on a golf game binge and have an original disk for the Apple II Avalon Hill Tournament Golf game. I bought this game back in 1980s and remember having fun playing it. But now the game disk will not boot and I cannot play this game. I've looked for a disk image at many Apple II disk repositories and cannot find this one. Anyone out there have a disk image of Avalon Hill Tournament Golf for the Apple II? Thanks!

New Owner of a Apple IIe

Hello All....Great forum and glad to be a new member. I am a proud of owner of a recently purchased Apple IIe that I bought off of ebay (Price was right). Well I unboxed the computer. It came with a color monitor (with a broken RCA male end stuck in it. Had to take monitor apart to remove it), CPU was full of rat poop (Seller claimed the computer was in a storage unit (Had to take apart to clean it all out), and came with the dual set top DuoDisk disk drives. So the issue I am seeing is no matter what disk I put into the drives the red light stays on and the video is displaying Apple IIe.

Apple IIe strange issue

Hi everyone,

Very new to owning an Apple computer.

I recently got my hands on a couple of Apple IIe computers.

One is working fine the other seemed to be dead. 

Both have boards Logic Board ID: PCB: 820-0188-A (International) - REV: 607-0288-C in them.

I managed to get the non-working one up again.  It had a short to ground on the 12v line which was caused by  a bad 10uf cap.  Replaced that and we have power LED.
