ADT PRO 2.0.3

Hi,

I have a problem with ADT Pro. I am using Version 2.0.3 with an Apple //c and a Mac with Catalina. I am using a USB to Serial (CH340) and a custom build cable (pinout taken from the ADT Pro website).

Bootstrapping works fine with my setup, but I cannot get the application to work. When I try to receive a file from my Mac by pressing the "R" key (or selecting the appropriate menu option) it just gets to an error "HOST TIEMOUT/PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE".

Marinetti with Uthernet on GSPlus

Has anyone gotten this to work on an emulator (GSPlus) without a crash on connect?

I would like to get it working prior to buying an actual Uthernet card.

Franklin Ace Floppy controller IC

Hi, I'm looking for the floppy controller IC to repair my Franklin Ace.  I've narrowed it down to it being the reason my floppies don't work correctly... they read just fine, but they won't write.  The drives work, I can tell because if I plug them into a Disk ][ controller, they work great.

The IC I'm looking for is a USI chip, I think the part # is 4003000

If anyone has one from an old machine, please let me know.  Thanks!

Noisy video signal on Apple II clone

Hello,

I hope this exact problem was not discussed before. I tried the search function, but I am not able to limit the results to the Apple II forum.

I have a relatively good working Apple II: boots, loads software and games. However the video signal is bad, there is a lot of noise in the signal.

I am able to get picture on my monitor, but it is noisy (obviously) and has a bad contrast ratio between black an white.

I tried to diagnose the problem and attached an oscilloscope to the internal aux video connector:

Cassette interface on Apple IIc or Apple IIgs?

Is there any way to connect a cassette player to a IIc or IIgs?  I have a couple of Apple II cassettes that I'd like to be able to use with my IIgs (prefereably) or IIc.  Is there a cassette interface card that would work on the IIgs?  I've looked around and haven't seen anything but maybe I'm just missing it.  I'd appreciate any help!

Apple II test programs

I'm looking for some test utilies to compare the performance of Apple IIe and an emulator. I'm really interested in sound and graphics utilities.

1. A sound test, something that plays tones from a low frequency up to the highest that an apple can reasonable output.

2. Some split screen graphic tests. I found this demo which doesn't seem to work on the copy of LinApple on my machine. http://www.deater.net/weave/vmwprod/split_demo/

If anyone has ideas or recommendations I would appreciate it.

//c Power Brick Parts

Has anyone ever cracked open one of these bricks to see what's in them if someone needed to repair one? I have a spare one in working condition. I'm thinking about opening it up and seeing what's in there. I imagine at the minimum there is a transformer, diode bridge, and a filter cap (that eventually would probably need to be replaced).

Suncom Party Quiz Controllers

I just bought a set of the Suncom Party Quiz controllers/interface/software. I noticed on the box it says only 2 of the 4 controllers work on the //c. It plugs into the joystick port.

Is the limitation on the number of controllers due to the fact on the //c the port is shared with the mouse?  As opposed to the IIe that had a seperate 9pin port for the mouse? It looks like for the II/II+ it also has the dip style game connector, probably wired in parallel to the 9pin connector that run to the interface box.
