Apple //e + Prodos 8 = Headache

I purchased a Uthernet card in hope of browsing the interweb on my unenhanced //e. Using my old ipod I loaded Contiki 2.7 onto 5.25 disks using the cassesste tape port. Booting up the disk Prodos 8 tries to load and complains that it requires an enhanced Apple //e or better to run.

Any other options I can try? Seems that Contiki bundles prodos 8 with their sofware?

Cheers!

Gary

Apple ][ plus Rev04 Restoration

So this is the old Apple ][ from my younger years. Found it stashed away under house at my Parents.

I reckon its been hidden there for about 30 years. Am trying to resurrect it as a project and Nostalgia trip. I've already had some great advice here on the forum regarding the power supply.

Apple IIe, internal diagnostic OK, no sound from speaker

Greetings everyone!

I've been a lurker for a long time, but I've got an Apple IIe board here that made me decide it was time to create an account and ask for the help of the experts. Before getting to the current issue I'm facing, the short story of this board:What I have here is an 820-0064-B that came from with a lot of various other discarded computer motherboards from an ham radio fair, and that was probably 10 years ago.It sat forgotten in my storage room until I had to move a few months ago, when I "rediscovered" it in a box, wrapped in an antistatic bag.

ADTPro - how the @#$% does this work?!?

Forgive me because I'm a PC guy but I can get this to work... I'm using Windows XP (I know, it's an older computer) with Java 7 installed.  The instructions on the ADT page suck... I download the software but nothing will load.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

UPDATE: I DL'd an older version of ADTPro and it worked just fine

Apple IIe keyboard

In the beginning of the eighties I owned an Apple II computer. I sold this a few years later. And now I recently bought an Apple IIe.

The computer has a stange keyboard though.  I never saw an Apple IIe with a compbined keyboard  QWERTY/AZERTY, switchable with a tiny switch on the below side of the keybaord on the beveled side.

It's design and the keyboard print does suggest it's been so from the factory. But is it?

Apple ][ video signal re-sync? External sync?

I'm trying to use my Apple ][ as a text generator for my Panasonic MJ-MX12 mixer.

The device allows for an external camera for chroma key duties, it requires that the camera signal be in sync and and external sync for the camera is provided.

The Apple ][ is a very cost effective beast so I realise Woz may have designed it in such a way that I cannot just get the raw luma signal without sync. (I'm hoping!)

Apple II GS RGB Monitor Issue

I just recieved a Apple II GS for my classroom. I doubt it's been used in forever.

The Macintosh Color Monitor that it came with isn't working. I can hook up a Composite display just fine. Where should I start troubleshooting on this?

Apple /// Plus no sound

So my Apple /// Plus which I thought was working apparently is not. It will not put out any sound at all. I have tried a known good speaker and according to the apple /// service manual :

https://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/documentation/apple3/service_reference_manual/Apple%20III%20Service%20Reference%20Manual-OCR-1982.pdf

Page 326 states you can try replacing LM380 (U103) . I did swap out the IC from a known working Apple /// and it still plays no sound. Where should I look next guys?

Adjusting drive speed on Apple /// floppy drives

So I have 5 apple /// floppy drives that are way out of wack as they have been sitting for years. A couple were broken with bad TTL chips but they are working again. I just need to adjust the speed.

Im very familiar on the apple II line of floppy drives on how this is done but as for Apple ///'s? Which program should I run? What is the optimum drive speed for the Apple /// Drives? Is it still 300?

I cant seem to find an actual SOS program that will tell me the drive speed and let me adjust the Drive speed pot on the drive mechanism to get it correct.
