Appli-Card on enhanced Apple IIe

This seems not to be working.  It's been a while since I brought up CP/M on either of my Apple IIe and I think it had the 'enhanced' upgrade done since that time.  Now on both of my enhanced Apple IIe machine the Appli-Card no longer works.  Is this a known compatibility issue or has mu Appli-Card gone south (so to speak)?

Apple iie - change in behavior after PSU failure/recap

I am new to this community - this is my first post!

I recently picked up a 1982 Apple //e.  When it arrived it powered on and was working fine.  Partway through the "Apple Presents...Apple" disk the PSU's .1uF 250V film capacitor popped.  The //e was still running, but I shut it down ASAP.  I've since replaced all the capacitors in the PSU, and the //e is running fine aside from these two peculiarities:

Odd Apple II+ Mod/Behavior

Hi folks!

I have a friend who has an Apple II+ with a slight modification that allows them to boot from either the first or second slot.  (Slot 0 or slot 1)

Their goal is to be able to have a 16K language card in Slot 0 and a ROM card in Slot 1 - and be able to boot off of either.

While this appears to be working, they do not get an autoboot to Basic unless they have a floppy loaded.

I would have thought it would autoboot to the Basic prompt, but that isn't happening.

Restoring a Redstone Apple //e Clone

Hi All, I videoed my "adventures" restoring an old Redstone Apple //e clone in October 2017 (!) and finally got around to finishing editing it for general consumption. Strap yourselves in, it's a bit of a long one... The video can be seen on my (new) channel here: https://youtu.be/m_-eu9YHbsk I know some of you will cringe at some of my restoration techniques, but please be nice as this machine was in a pretty bad state when I received it.

Inherited apple 2e

Hi I have just been Given a Apple 2e computer with duo drive and monitor/software and manuals. I have set it up for the first time in probably 30 years. I am no expert on older computers. The Duo disk drive lights up for a second on both drives then doesn't do anything or load disks and also when I press keys on keyboard it keeps typing any letter I type. Any ideas why thank you

u-microcomputers u-dt i/o card documentation

I’ve just acquired a U-DT parallel digital i/o card for the Apple II - these cards were made in England by a company called U-Microcomputers. I’m wondering if anyone has the documentation for this card? I can’t find any documentation on the web.

Apple IIc US to European power?

Hello all,

I'm looking for suggestions on how best to power a US Apple IIc (110-120v 60hz) computer when in Poland which uses 230v 50hz.  I know they make step down transformers for this purpose, but the frequency would still be 50hz rather than 60hz and that could be a problem.  So what is the best way to power this machine in Europe?

Thanks!

Videx Videoterm

I'm in the market for a Videx Videoterm 80 column card with the old mechanical switchplate for an Apple II.  There are a couple boards on ebay, but neither has any cabling.

I could certianly make my own cable if I know the schematic of the switchplate assembly.  I assume it is just a basic switch, but it is not clear which of the 4 wires is being switched.  If anyone knows anyting about this, I'd love to hear.

I'd prefer to get an authentic switchplate though.  Does anyone have one to sell?

I reseated every chip and checked the continuity on all jumpers, but it didnt work.

Thanks in advance for your help, Denis

Debugging Apple IIc: no beep, no nothing

Hi Folks,

I have an Apple IIc that worked briefly before quitting. Now I get nothing: it starts up, I get a green power light and the drive spins, but nothing more. I'd love to get this running again. (I posted about this a few years back, but gave it up after a while, and just decided to pick this up again.)

So far, I have:
