Apple II

Anybody want to donate a cheap/free Apple ][+ or ][e?

I've needed one of these for about two years now. I keep hoping that one will turn up at a thrift store or yard sale so I woundn't need to bother with shipping, but no luck so far. And of course I have looked on eBay, but most of what I've found are resellers who don't know anything about the condition or functionality of their machines - or big packages for collectors with lots of extras and software. It kills me to know that within 50 miles of here there are probably a dozen or more ][ machines going unused in closets and attics, but I can't find them.

Apple //e Joystick fire button

I can't seem to figure out why my Apple IIe Joystick isn't functioning on Donkey Kong, ok i know it's Donkey Kong, what the hey, but I'd like to be able to play some of the old games. I've upgraded it from Apple II status to Apple //e enhanced and still no luck. Any advise, am I missing something. Also, my composite color monitor seems to be off on color.

Thanks,
Darkhawk

System hangs as soon as it is turned on. What does this error code mean?

Before I throw this Apple II clone out, I figured I would try it after 15 years in the basement. All I get is this image as soon as I turn it on. The CAPSLOCK key is lit (red), and nothing I type on the keyboard changes the image. No drive activity or any sounds. Turning the computer on and off produces the same image.

Safe to say the motherboard/CPU is fried?

Apple II RAM?

I need help identifying something. I got what is in the images below with a bunch of Mac stuff from a woman who said they were "RAM chips from an old Mac". Problem is I don't recall any Macintosh using RAM that was not on a PCB, so, I guess I am thinking they might be from an Apple II but I do not know how to verify it.
Any ideas?

Bought 2 apple II's (not plus) at garage sale - pics attached for help with IDins them

I bought two of em ...one with gold chips labeled 1978 and the other 1979...the ram chips are different on them.

The bottom of the 2nd label is confusing cuz it reads a2s2...and a2s1 on it?

Any help iding them both would be great. Are they both 2's ? Is one earlier than the other? One has 16k chips on the side and the other does not....please help

need help with the name of a game

This has been bugging me for several years now, and I've had a heck of a time even finding a populated place to ask about this. When I was in grade school, we had a whole host of edutainment titles for our apple IIes like Odell lake, Oregon Trail, Number Munchers, Stickybear, etc. This one game though I can't remember the name for the life of me. Basically the object of the game was to try and capture a creature of some kind on an overhead map. To do this you need to set an appropriate kind of trap (pit trap, net trap, something like that) depending on the habitat where it lives.
