Hi everyone!
I just found an unused 7" color LCD, 800x480 with an LVDS 20 pin iterface (and touch screen).
It would be nice to use it on my A2e :-)
I suppose this is almost out of topic, but every hont is well accepted!
I found 2 small driver cards with AV-composite input on AliExpress, but then I have to choose the firmware, and here I get stuck, since I have no knowledge about LCDs.
My LCD is an Ampire am-800480-rs-tmqw-ta2h
3-3.6V , 2W, 20 pin LVDS
The almost correct specs I found are here:
https://www.panelook.com/AM-800480RSTMQW-TA1H_Ampire_7.0_LCM_overview_22904.html .....
since I am not able to find the Ampire official site.
Here are some details of the pcb of the LCD:

If you only have an LCD + LVDS cable, you need the rest of the monitor, which is a controller board similar to this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004878498825.html, and of course some kind of frame to hold it all together.
Hi CVT
Thank you for the hint !
I was also thinking about that kind of little board you linked, but then I have to choose between 6 "submodels" before buying it (I suppose they relate to the firmware).
But I have no idea of the differences between them, or where to find those details.
Maybe they are fundamental, and not only related to the OSD content. I absolutely don't know.
If the electronic part should work, for sure I will arrange a kind of arm to support the LCD, as by your hint.... but first of all it should work :-)
None of the 6 in the link are for your LCD. This is just an example of what you need to find for your particular model LCD.
:-O
Does not exist any standard for 20 pin lvds ?
