What the...?

OK, I'm sitting here in front of Santa(Snow imac, snow white, white christmas- santa!) holding a warm-hot cup of coffee in my left hand. The cup is dry, my hand is dry, it's quite cool at exactly 12 am and the air is dry. But, somehow, water is running from the cup handle down my arm. Dried it off, it starts again. The cup remains dry- no condensation. It's not a leak, this is just clear, plain water(and it's certainly not sweat because the handle feels cool and my hand isn't exactly in a toaster here). It's not raining. There is no water dripping from the roof. And in case anybody suggests it, no, I am not drooling all over my hand whenever I take a sip of coffee.

...what the heck? Where in god's name is this unstoppable waterfall coming from?

Type of cup?

What kind of coffee cup/mug is it? I have had similar things happen depending on the type of cup/mug used...

Check the handle...

Ceramic/porcelain mugs sometimes have a small hole in them, slightly larger than a pinhole, presumably from the manufacturing process, if they are hollow. It sounds like your tiger mug might have water in the handle. It happens if you put it in the dishwasher or submerge the mug completely when washing it. If it is running down your arm, then the hole may be in the upper part of the underside of the handle

I have a mug that does this exact thing. I just try to wash it with the handle above water. Another unfortunate side effect is that when I microwave this mug, the handle gets hotter than it should because of the water in it.

Anyway, this may be the cause. Good luck, and don't get any on ya!
