T610 stuck pixels...

I bought a second hand T610 off of eBay the other week. It was fine up until this morning when I awoke to find a nice yellow blob in the middle of the screen. Great, dead pixels! Can they just spontaneously happen? And is there any way to fix it without splashing out £25 for a new screen? It doesn't bother me too much really... not enough to make me buy a new screen at any rate (and the phone only cost me £35 anyway), but it would be nice to fix it if possible.

Any ideas?

That's the offending pixels. They look white in that photo but they are actually bright yellow ::)

Hmm, an improvement? Today fewer pixels seem to be affected, looks like 4 now, let's hope for tomorrow!

Sometimes you could "renew" a dead pixel by gently rubbing the affected area. I got rid of a dead pixel on a laptop I had once by doing that.

I guess you could try that.
