Hello,
I am in the process of fixing a friends 900Mhz iBook whose internal ethernet adapter has aparently come loose from the main logic board. The solder joints broke. I am pretty handy with a soldering iron, so I am confident that I can fix it (the warenty is already expired), but my question is how do I go about taking the computer apart with the minimal disasembly possible to fix just that part. I don't want to have to have the entire computer in bits if I don't have to. I have an article printed on installing a new HD, so I already have a "general dissasembly guide", but I only need access to the top-left corner of the logic board.
Thanx,
Thomas.
your best bet would be to look in the service manual ... to find it google for [google]Apple Service Manuals[/google] the first result should be good ... it will have the takeapart guides for all parts of the iBook ...

Sweet! Thank you so much. For anyone who cares, all the ones on the first page of google results don't work because apple has shut them down. Keep clicking next, and trying them, though, and you will find them!
Thanx again!
The link I use for manuals:
http://home.earthlink.net/~strahm_s/manuals.html
please dont post links to them on the forum ... that is how apple finds them to shut them down
thats why i said to google for it and didnt post a link myself
