IBM NetVista x40i LCD

I just picked up an otherwise functional IBM NetVista x40i 2179-750 that has a cracked LCD. I gave Google a quick run and eBay as well, but I didn't find anyone selling service parts that wasn't one of those "We have every part in the universe! (in our database, anyway)" sites. It's a P3 600EB, so I should be able to drop in the P3 933 I have on hand to make it a decent machine, if I can get a replacement LCD. I do have a couple somewhat dead LCD monitors on hand too, both with likely dead controllers, both 15" like the IBM: a Compaq TFT5000S and a Envision EN-LM500/EN5100e. Does anyone happen to know my chances of getting one of the panels from those working in the IBM, before I get to tearing them all apart? Or even another otherwise dead x40i with a good LCD I could salvage? These seem like a corporate executive desk candy kind of machine, so I'd think there would be a few on eBay, but all I find is a few RAM auctions.

Have you pulled the bezel apa

Have you pulled the bezel apart and gotten the part number off of the LCD itself? IBM doesn't manufacture LCD panels, so it's likely a common part made by the likes of Sharp, Toshiba, Samsung or LG. I'd try searching for the panel part number itself.

I hadn't then, but I just did

I hadn't then, but I just did: Hitachi HT15x11-100

EDIT: IBM Part no 22P2284 is listed on my panel. A bit of searching also shows 09N2671 and 89P8138 might work too.
