From Low End Mac: [quote]SE

From Low End Mac:

SE introduced 1987.03.02 at $2,900 (dual floppy) or $3,700 (with 20 MB hard drive); discontinued 1989.08.01

Har.

I guess this is an interesting exercise in psychology. Will someone *actually* be stupid enough to pony up a ridiculous amount of money for a terribly obsolete computer simply because it's presented sitting atop a pedestal in a sparsely furnished room with a hardwood floor?

Huh. Don't answer that.

But...

Shipping is FREE! For once I could get something on eBay and NOT pay more on shipping than I did on the item. Wink

That's what the auction claim

That's what the auction claims, but the description says "No Returns. Buyer pays shipping - USPS Ground 4-10 days."

No bids so far. There's no buy it now, and I'm sure nobody wants the price to go up even further, so we expect to see a fierce bidding war in a couple days as it closes!

*snort*

Yeah. $300. Sometimes I wonder about folks. I saw someone list an se/30 like that. As much as I like the se/30, it has to be pretty special to be worth more than $50. I actually emailed that guy to suggest he rethink the price. He (not surprisingly) politely didn't take my advice. I guess folks really think that some of this old hardware is going to be their ticket to big money. I'm afraid that unless this SE comes with a pizza dinner with The Woz himself, it ain't worth three Franklins.

I'm with BDub. I'm expecting the snipers to just jump all over it in the last 30 seconds. Wink Uh huh.
